I decided this year that I was going to challenge myself both personally and professionally – I just needed to decide how.  I was asked to teach three classes this month at Institute, a premier nonprofit professional development program for association, chamber and nonprofit professionals.  Institute is held at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.  What an exciting three days this turned out to be, and mission accomplished!  Standing up in front of 45 students for three hours at a time pushed my personal and professional development.  I enjoyed every class, I met amazing chamber and association professionals and I drove back to Palm Springs truly inspired by the entire experience.  My advice, take a risk and believe in yourself – it can be very empowering.
