“Deriva Floral” Ribbon Cutting

Something extraordinary is taking root along Museum Way.

The City of Palm Springs is pleased to announce the arrival of “Deriva Floral”, an art installation created by the acclaimed Mexican artist Daniel “Mestiz” Valero from our Sister City, San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. “Deriva Floral” is a sensory celebration of color, craft, and cultural identity that define the iconic Mexican city. This vibrant exhibition features 36 handcrafted flowers, each measuring nearly 4 feet, some of them suspended in the air, creating an immersive experience. The art installation will be open to the public through November.

We invite you to join us for the Ribbon Cutting on Tuesday, October 15 at 9:30 a.m. Speakers will include Mayor Ron deHarte, members of the City Council, Tania Castillo, director of Tourism from San Miguel de Allende and Gary Armstrong, President of Palm Springs Sister Cities.
